Have you heard the news? On Aug. 1, 2015, Graphic Creations acquired Widby Printing & Finishing to form the most diverse digital print and finishing service company in Knoxville. After 25 years of calling Cumberland Ave. home, Graphic Creations announces it will be moving to a new location by the end of the year.
Debbie Billings, president and co-founder of Graphic Creations, knew her company had outgrown their current retail space, and to continue providing customers with top notch Knoxville printing services via the best technology, it was time to move.
“We need a space where our large format sign machines and large digital printers could all be under the same roof,” said Jim Caughorn, vice president of Graphic creations.
The new retail storefront will be at 213 E. Fourth Ave., the now former Widby location. The building is a 12,500 square foot facility, much larger than Graphic Creation’s current space.
“It will allow us to continue to give unparalleled customer service, quality work, competitive pricing,” said Billings. “Whether you order 50 copies or 5000 foil imprinted, die cut brochures stuffed into a pocket folder, we will be your partner from start to finish.”
Both Billings and Caughorn look forward to combining these two spaces into one single building will help expand their company’s service offerings and increase the already high-quality of products and services they offer their customers.
Once renovations are complete, Graphic Creations will offer an expanded menu of in-house services and products provided by a staff of over 15 experts committed to helping you deliver your best printed materials. New Knoxville printing services that will soon be offered by Graphic Creations include die cutting, foil stamping, letterpress options and more.
Currently, the primary location for the local Knoxville printing company sits in the old World’s Fair Motel site at 1809 Lake Ave. Split between two levels, this building is where all digital Knoxville printing services and administration are housed. The second location is on Grand Ave. that houses their wide-format printer used to create custom signs, banners, and vehicle wraps.
“Keeping all of the employees from Widby Printing & Finishing was an easy choice,” said Caughorn. “The expertise of the Widby team is important to our future success. We look forward to learning from each other and creating a new company with a new culture, combined from the best of each. The sky is the limit for our future growth.”
A family-owned business for over 50 years, Widby Printing & Finishing specializes in finishing services for the trade. With the new acquisition, Graphic Creations will blend the history and tradition of Widby Printing & Finishing with the modern and advanced capabilities of Graphic Creations.
